Global scrap price keeps going down recently. The price of American 80:20 scrap is expected to decline to US$400/ton soon.

Meanwhile, Taiwanese domestic scrap price is predicted to drop by NT$300~500/ton as global price fell by NT$1,000~1,200/ton.

However, Turkish steel mills worried that the scrap price will rise when China starts to purchase after Labor’s Day, hence, they are planning to stock up this week.

Hopefully, replenishment by Turkish mills may stop scrap prices from descending.
