Japan's stainless steel scrap purchasing prices down

Japan’s stainless steel scrap purchasing price is expected to fall, since nickel price has dropped to below US$20,000/ton.

The current scrap price has dropped to ¥195,000/ton, down by ¥5,000/ton from previous price.

Meanwhile, Daido has announced to scale back the production, and other stainless producers are expected to cut their outputs soon.
