India’s state-owned miner NMDC is now in talks with Japanese steelmaker Nippon Steel and Kobe Steel for two separate projects with investment of at least Rs 10,000 crore.

The project will set up a new plant in Karnataka with annual capacity of two million tons of steel.

NDMC is also talking with Kobe Steel for a project in Andhra Pradesh for a new JV with recently acquired Sponge Iron India Ltd.
